  • Bedroom 1

Downstairs in the house with the bathroom and separate toilet next door, it’s almost like a suite! It’s a lovely quiet bedroom with a door opening directly onto the terrace. The art in the room is framed prints of Alex’s original paintings.

  • Bedroom 2

The pink bedroom is upstairs, with a window overlooking the orchard and countryside beyond. We’re changing the bedding this year, so there’ll be fresh white seersucker bedlinen when we take a new set of photos.

  • Bedroom 3

The twin bedroom is next to the pink bedroom, and has twin beds, plus an antique day bed under the eaves – suitable for a small child. All bedrooms have hanging space and a chest of drawers, so you can unpack completely, and feel at home.

  • Kitchen

Guests usually say there isn’t anything we haven’t thought of in the kitchen! There’s a dishwasher so there won’t be much washing up to do. The armoire contains all the china and glassware, leaving you with wall cupboards for your shopping.

  • Living Room

This is one end of the huge living room, there’s plenty of seating for 6 and the TV has French and English channels, and Netflix. There’s a big dining table at the other end, perfect for if it’s raining or too hot to eat outside.

  • Downstairs Bathroom

This bathroom goes with bedroom 1, and has a bath and a shower cubicle.

  • Upstairs Bathroom

This bathroom gets a wow! when guests arrive. It’s huge with a bath and walk-in shower, and toilet. It’s lovely looking at the blue sky through the skylights. We’ve added some plants too, and they’re very happy in there.

  • Terrace

I’ve include the terrace as it’s like an outdoor room, and has a seating area with a mid height table that means you can draw the sofas in and eat at the table. It’s a lovely spot to watch the swifts dipping in the pool, and enjoying a glass of rosé after the children have gone to bed.

Facilities

What we provide, so you don't have to!

Arrival and Departure

Arrival time is from 4pm/16.00, and departure is by 10am/10.00 as this is a large house to get ready, plus outside spaces, after guests have left. We may be flexible if we have a gap in bookings, please just ask.

Kitchen

You should find everything you need, but if not just ask Linda. We provide Ecover washing up liquid, some dishwasher tablets, kitchen surface spray, and liquid hand soap. In a drawer you'll find cling film, foil and baking parchment.

Washing Machines

You'll find our laundry area in the barn. There are 2 machines to use, and we ask that you dry washing on the lines provided. There is a tumble dryer if absolutely necessary.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

The beds are made and towels provided for everyone. Each bedroom has a fan, hairdryer, and box of tissues (from Who Gives A Crap). Bathrooms are equipped with hand soap from a local artisan supplier, and a shower/hairwash product.

Babies and Toddlers

We have 2 travel cots, 2 highchairs (different sizes), a baby bath, and changing mat. There's a step in the upstairs bathroom for small children. The swing in the garden suits up to 3 years old.

Pool Towels

They're bulky to pack for all the family so we provide pool/beach towels.
"Just back from a truly wonderful week at Linda and Alex’s. The accommodation suited us perfectly - with my in-laws having their own space downstairs and myself, my husband and our two daughters (3 and 13) upstairs. We really couldn’t have asked for more - Linda has thought of every little detail. Loved the huge family bathroom upstairs!"
